The Black Talons are stranded on the Oberon system. Their contractor - the Noctae Republic - has been defeated, its homeplanet occupied. The Oberon system is now a hostile place, with its only exit heavily protected by Tzanari ships. To make things worse, the Tzanari are now hunting everyone (including mercenary units) that supported the Noctae Republic.
The only way to escape the system is to help the Noctari retake their planet and defeat the invasion force. But the Noctae Republic and the Tzanar Union are not the only players in the system. There are other factions pursuing their own agendas, that might become allies or enemies of the Black Talons. It's up to the player to decide who to help, and who to attack. Of course that all actions have consequences.
The Black Talons' website has been launched. You can see what the game is about, contact us or join the forum. The content is limited for now, but come and check the website regularly, as it will be continuously updated with new information and media.
We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Kalypso Media for the release of our latest title: Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons
In Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons you take command of the Black Talons company, a fearless mercenary unit currently stationed in the Oberon system, torn apart by ruthless dictators and power-hungry warlords. The Black Talons provide everything from specialist squads and supplies, to entire armies, bases and powerful mechs of warfare to fight the warmongering Tzanar. This comes at a price, of course – but in a universe controlled by the corrupt, is it enough to stand by and watch while great cities burn to the ground and whole civilizations are destroyed in the name of conquest?
General Features: - Extensive campaign mode where the actions of the player have a direct impact on the local system’s balance of power - Persistent and fully customizable squads - Various unit classes with specialized roles and their own distinctive set of weapons, abilities and skill trees - 5 worlds with differing environments and weather conditions that directly affect battle - Powerful mechs can enter the battlefield and turn the tide of combat - Customize and upgrade your base with weapons and infrastructure that will boost squad numbers, teleport soldiers or even bombard the battlefield - Faction relations influence a player’s progress throughout the game: either by giving access to unique units or interfering with missions
Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons will be available to purchase via digital distribution for Windows PC, Mac and Linux in Q4 2014!
And without further ado, here's the first trailer:
We would usually release a faction Featurette trailer today, but we're bringing something different. A lot of folks have asked for gameplay videos to see how the game works exactly so, here it is. You can check it out below, with audio commentary from one of the team members:

It's with great satisfaction that we announce that Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons is out now on the major digital stores! Retail version will be available in a couple of weeks.
A devastating war has torn the galaxy apart. Dozens of planets and star systems have declared independence or forged new alliances, while governments fall and warlords rise to power. Chaos and corruption are everywhere and so to maintain order and negotiate peace between the ruling factions, private mercenary armies are called to action.
You are commander of the Black Talons company, currently stationed in the Oberon system. After a fierce campaign, the military Tzanar Union has overrun the planet of Genai and blocked all departure from the system: leaving you and the Black Talons stranded. The only means of escape is to help the Genai forces repel the invading army and recapture the planet.
